MICHAEL D. PALMA

Managing Director

You have spent much of your career building wealth to support the retirement you envision. If you are like many well-compensated professionals, your focus is on accumulation and not necessarily on the taxes you’ll pay in retirement. A tax-efficient retirement will help you more easily fulfill your goals and dreams.

I began my wealth management career with MetLife, after graduating from Lehigh University in 2008. I was fortunate to be selected for MetLife’s team program, fast-tracking me to working with some of the firm’s most successful investment managers in Manhattan and Long Island. The valuable education with MetLife led to a prominent position with The Advanced Planning Group of New York, a premier group with Lincoln Financial Advisors. I established Traverse Capital Management in 2019, seeking greater independence away from the bias of large firms.

At Traverse Capital Management, much of our clientele are professionals throughout the tri-state area that are approaching retirement or recently retired. I find that these professionals generally have similar concerns around their retirement. Our goals often center on creating the most tax-efficient retirement possible and developing a legacy for their family and the key communities in their lives.

Working with people is a passion of mine. I am currently bringing my passion and knowledge to our community through involvement with the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. A lifetime resident of Long Island, I live in Bethpage with my beautiful wife Diane and our three wonderful daughters, Rose, Stefania, and Teresa. I do my best to make my family proud every day. I love skiing and nothing makes me happier than being able to share this passion with Diane and our girls.

I’d love to meet you and answer any financial questions you may have. Let’s find a time for a quick call.

Skiing with my dad and uncle in Lake Tahoe, 2005. This lifetime passion is the inspiration for my investment process. Click here to learn more.
